SCRATCH CARD

Client: OLG - Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation

OBJECTIVE

Approached by OLG with the opportunity to create a $3 scratch ticket, there were many possible themes that were explored. Thriving off the buzz and excitement of the Toronto Blue Jays 2016/2017 playoff runs, baseball has been a hot topic. Targeted to the Canadian sports fan and scratch lottery card fans alike, a baseball themed card was a popular choice.

EXECUTION

Based off the Home Run Derby, all the the heavy hitters from across the league come together prior to the All-Star game for the annual long-ball competition. Using the name, official MLB colours and iconography, a complete baseball themed ticket was created from the ground up while adapting a popular “Lucky Line” play mechanic. Every aspect of this scratch card needed to carry the theme home with every detail, and proved to be very successful where all scratch tickets were sold.
