COLD BREW COFFEE

OBJECTIVE
“Cold-brew” styled coffee, which had first originated in Japan, is becoming a popular choice for Canadians in recent years. Going off that trending success, Sobeys wanted to create their own private label line of read-to-drink cold-brew coffee available for purchase in their grocery stores across Canada.
EXECUTION
Three different blends were developed; Logging Road, Rambling River, and Northern Dawn. To be sold on store shelves and be noticed among the crowd of competing brands, the packaging had to be punchy with large hits of bright colour indicating the SKU differentiation clearly, as well as a unique design which would include original illustrations. Going off a desire to characterize North America in some way, easily recognizable animals were illustrated as mascots for each blend, representing a different slice of Canada.
